Let’s Make it a Merry Christmas

I just realized I have not done a Christmas post. I guess I’ve been so busy actually preparing for Christmas! As I’m driving home to spend Christmas with my family I thought I’d write this short and sweet message.

Remember over this holiday season what it’s all really about. It’s not about the presents you receive or didn’t receive. Forget about the ongoing family feuds. There’s plenty of time to continue with those the rest of the year :P.

Take these few days to really enjoy the time you have with family and friends. Be patient, be kind, and just love all those around you. Forget about the stress of preparing dinners, buying and wrapping presents, of making everything perfect. What people are really going to remember is the time you spent with them. Make it a happy time. Unlike the presents and the turkey dinners, it’s the memories that last.

If something stresses you out take a deep breath, leave the room if you must and just realize that it’s probably a pretty small problem when looked at in light of the big picture.

YOU and your attitude are what control whether or not this is a happy holiday. So decide that this is going to be your best Christmas yet and enjoy every second of it.

Merry Christmas to you all! And of course don’t forget to indulge a little…I know I will 🙂
