What’s loaded with calcium, folic acid, vitamin K and iron (to name a few) and has enough health benefits to fill a few pages? Spinach!
I do enjoy a good spinach salad and even swap this little green powerhouse for lettuce on burgers and sandwiches on occasion. But never have I even thought to add it to my shakes!
That is until my friend, Rachel, decided to give it a go. I have to admit, I was slightly skeptical when she told me what was in her green shake but I thought I’d give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised, because it was delicious!! It even got the stamp of approval from my two picky kidlets and my hubby. And since my son never eats leafy greens, I was so excited to have a way to get him some of this super food.
1 cup Milk (I prefer Almond Milk)
1 serving protein powder
1 cup Spinach
3 Ice Cubes
Blend and enjoy!!
